I operate this website as an individual. You can contact me through my LinkedIn profile or Xing profile, including to exercise a data-protection right.
Hosting and technical data
This website is hosted by OVHcloud. When you request a page, the hosting infrastructure processes technical data needed to deliver and protect the website. This may include your IP address, the date and time, the requested page, referrer information supplied by your browser, user agent, HTTP status, and diagnostic or security information.
The purposes are website delivery, availability, troubleshooting, and protection against misuse or attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website. OVHcloud receives this data as the hosting provider and processor. I do not use it to identify or profile visitors and do not intentionally transfer it outside the European Economic Area.
Technical logs are kept only for as long as required for operation, security, troubleshooting, applicable legal obligations, or legal claims. OVHcloud also provides hosting-level statistics created from anonymized and aggregated traffic data. These statistics are not used to follow individual visitors.
OVHcloud shared hosting may place an anonymous “SERVER ID” cookie for load balancing and to keep a visitor on the same server during a session. OVHcloud states that it contains no personal data and remains for less than 24 hours. It is used without consent under the strictly necessary exception in Section 25(2) TDDDG. This website sets no other cookies itself.
External professional profiles
LinkedIn and Xing are ordinary external links and receive no request merely because you visit this website. If you follow a link, the selected provider processes the visit under its own privacy terms.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR’s requirements, you may request access to, correction or deletion of, or restriction of processing of personal data concerning you. You may also have a right to data portability and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. I may request information reasonably necessary to verify and respond to your request.
Right to complain
You may lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for Baden-Württemberg is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg.
